Chief Operating Officer

We are very excited to be partnered with a cutting edge cloud-based SaaS platform who have completely disrupted their industry with their unique and innovative B2B software.


With impressive growth on a global scale and over 8000 mid-market and enterprise clients, this B2B SaaS scaleup is one to watch. As they continue to drive an ambitious expansion strategy, we are looking for a highly commercial Chief Operating Officer to take a key role on the Senior Leadership team. As COO, you’ll work hand in glove with a dynamic and entrepreneurial Founder & CEO to maximise business efficiency and take full accountability for revenue objectives and performance for 2023 and beyond.


Joining a diverse and globally distributed team of over 100 people, this is a hybrid role but predominately based in their London HQ, with some international travel.



The Role

As Chief Operating Officer you will take full operational and executional command of the business, clearly translating the vision into a short and long term strategy that successfully delivers rapid and profitable growth. As a strong and inspiring leader, you will develop, motivate and coach Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Commercial Operations functions to create cohesive, aligned and high performing teams.


To thrive in this role, you will be highly commercial and 100% focused on execution, delivery and the bottom line, whilst at the same time possessing an outstanding knowledge of customer-centric operating models and the importance of delivering meaningful solutions to customers that are both profitable to the organisation and operationally feasible.


Responsibilities
  • Full focus on the P&L for multiple markets, driving the supply, feeding back into product and marketing to enhance the revenue and taking charge of delivering on targets

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive revenue growth, achieve sales targets and increase brand awareness

  • Develop, lead and manage the Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Commercial Operations teams; setting targets, coaching and mentoring, and performance management

  • Set up operational structure and processes to enable and manage product enhancements and launch in new locations quickly and efficiently

  • Safeguard the performance of the existing business to create a strong springboard for growth into other channels and geographies

  • Translate the revenue targets into short, medium and long term plans, ensuring the business achieves its objectives

  • Continuously assess the performance of the business, from a rigorous quantitative angle, taking corrective action where required in critical areas

  • Dive deep into the metrics performance of the business to make sure that KPIs and targets are useful and meaningful


Requirements
  • Senior commercial and operational leader with extensive experience in high growth B2B SaaS businesses – ideally led a journey to £50m ARR

  • Proven track record of developing commercial partnerships and long term relationships with both mid-market and enterprise clients

  • Excellent leadership, management and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build high-performing cross functional teams

  • Customer focused with a deep experience overseeing the creation of innovative customer-facing products and propositions securing deep and broad user engagement

  • A strategist who uses data to drive decisions and can spot opportunities, and then effectively prioritise the direction and resource on the most important areas to maximise results

  • A track record of execution, operational excellence and seamless process and systems

  • Deep experience of fostering cross-functional coordination and seamless delivery against all operational KPIs

  • A creative and innovative thinker, able to look for new opportunities for revenue generation and profit making

  • A strong end-to-end understanding of product, customer experience and technology
